Jewellery Care Guide

We are committed to providing high-quality jewellery that is designed to last.
To help you maintain its beauty, it is important to understand tarnishing and how to care for your pieces.

INFO

Tarnishing is a natural reaction that occurs when metals interact with oxygen, moisture, and other elements in the environment.
Rather than being a sign of poor quality, it is a normal process — even for precious metals — and can often be easily restored with the right care.

  • Contact with air and humidity
  • Exposure to perfumes, lotions, and hair products
  • Natural skin oils and perspiration
  • Storage in damp or unprotected conditions

To protect your jewellery and slow natural tarnishing:

  1. Wear with care – Remove before swimming, bathing, or exercising.
  2. Last on, first off – Apply perfumes, creams, and cosmetics before wearing jewellery.
  3. Store smart – Keep in an airtight pouch or box with anti-tarnish protection.
  4. Avoid chemicals – Household cleaners and chlorine can damage metals and pearls.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Wipe gently with a soft polishing cloth after each wear.
  2. For deeper cleaning, mix a few drops of mild soap in lukewarm water.
  3. Dip a soft cloth in the solution and gently wipe the jewellery.
  4. Rinse with clean lukewarm water and pat dry with a lint-free towel.
  5. Store in an airtight pouch to slow tarnishing.
  1. Wipe with a slightly damp soft cloth after each wear to remove surface oils.
  2. Allow to air dry completely before storing.
  3. Avoid soaking, using soap, or exposing pearls to harsh chemicals.

RECOMMENDED TOOLS

For safe, effective cleaning, we suggest:

  • Soft polishing cloth – For gold filled and sterling silver pieces.
  • Microfibre cloth – Gentle on surfaces and won’t scratch.
  • Mild soap solution – For occasional cleaning of metal jewellery.
  • Small soft-bristled brush – To reach fine details (avoid hard bristles).
  • Bowl of lukewarm water – Never use hot water for pearls or beads.
  • Lint-free towel – For careful drying.

WHAT TO AVOID

To preserve the beauty and integrity of your jewellery, avoid:

  • Ultrasonic cleaners – Can damage pearls and delicate beads.
  • Abrasive cleaning cloths or powders – May scratch surfaces.
  • Bleach, ammonia, or strong detergents – Harsh chemicals that weaken metals and harm pearls.
  • Soaking pearls in water for long periods – Can loosen settings and damage their natural lustre.
